    Welcome to the Converge European Partner Leadership Summit (Converge EPLS Fiscal Year 2018), taking place on 30th and 31st January 2018 at The Westin Dragonara Hotel, St Julians, Malta.

    This one and a half day event at The Westin Dragonara Hotel, Malta will provide you with business, sales management and industry updates, as well as best practices to support your business growth.

  • Hotel Information

    The largest island of the Maltese archipelago is the setting for this year's event. There are two hotels available to delegates in the seaside town of St. Julian's. The first of which, and the location for the conference, is the Westin Dragonara. It is one of Malta's top 5 star hotels in the heart of downtown St Julian's and right on the water's edge, from where you can directly access the Mediterranean sea from their two private beach lidos.

    The second hotel is the Corinthia Hotel, this equally stylish and elegant 5 star hotel is only 1km away (8 minute walk) across the bay opposite the conference hotel, The Westin Dragonara.

      A taxi journey to either hotel takes approximately 25 minutes.

      Public transport should take no longer than 1 hour.

      Free parking is available to those who wish to drive.

    Conference related questions

    • Do I have to pay to attend the conference?

      No there is no fee to attend this conference, you only have to pay for your travel and hotel and any dinners not included as part of the conference.

    • How do I get to the conference?

      You are asked to make your own way to the conference at The Westin Dragonara ensuring that you arrive there before 13.00 on Tuesday 30th January 2017. Lunch will be served at 12.00. See Hotel Location Page for more details

    • Do I need a Visa for Malta?

      Please check https://www.worldtravelguide.net/guides/europe/malta/passport-visa/ for visa requirements.

       

      For those people requiring a visa and need a visa letter please contact Georgia Perdicou (georgia@primarylive.co.uk) with your name as it appears on your passport, job title and company, passport number, place of issue, your nationality and date of birth.

    • What is the dress code for the conference?

      Conference dress is smart casual and speakers should wear jackets (preferred).

       

      No jeans or trainers permitted. Evening attire is also smart/casual.

    • What are the Evening Arrangements?

      Monday Night – For those that arrive the evening prior to the conference – no reception takes place – Enjoy Malta at your leisure.

       

      Tuesday Night – This is an open evening where channel managers can take their teams of partners out for country dinners. They will advise you before the event where to meet.

       

      Wednesday Night – Siemens will host a welcome drinks reception and awards dinner at the hotel from 19:00.

    • Is there internet access in the hotel / bedrooms?

      Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel. If you are staying at the hotel you can access the internet with your surname and room number. If you are not intending to stay then a WiFi password can be issued to you at registration.

    • What are the rules for using mobile phones?

      Mobile phones have to be switched off in all sessions.

    Speaker Information

    • Will there be a speakers briefing?

      More details will be sent to Presenters a week to 10 days prior to the event on the timing and location for this briefing by e-mail including information on rehearsals.

       

      If you are presenting in the main Plenary sessions, you will be asked to provide a copy of your presentation and you will be taken through the technical procedures prior to your presentation.

       

      We will want to make sure the format of your presentation works well in advance so please make sure any AVI ‘s or Videos are also brought in separate files as well as in built into the presentation.

       

      The preferred format for all presentations will be 16:9.

    • If I am presenting do I need to bring my own laptop?

      A laptop will be provided for presentations within the plenary hall (you will not be able to use your own laptop), however please bring your laptop if you are presenting in breakout sessions. Please always bring a spare copy of your presentation via USB memory stick/CD.

    • What happens if I have specific Audio Visual requirements for my presentation?

      All breakout rooms are supplied with a projector, screen, wifi and a flipchart board as standard If you have any specific technical requirements please advise us using the contact Georgia Perdicou (georgia@primarylive.co.uk) and we will see if your request can be accommodated.

    Hotel and Travel Information

    • Do I have to make my own hotel reservation (even if I am a Siemens PLM Speaker / Executive or Customer Speaker)?

      You must confirm your accommodation requests through the registration site. We have a block room allocation that is only guaranteed at the negotiated rates till 17th December, after this date all requests made are subject to availability and rates are subject to change.

    • How do I make payment for the reservation?

      Payment will be taken upon check out for your entire stay and any incidentals.

    • Is breakfast included in the hotel rate?

      Breakfast is included in the room rates at the hotel you are staying in. Please allow extra time for breakfast to make sure you are ready for the conference sessions each morning.

       

      Breakfast will be served at The Westin Hotel, in the Terrace Restaurant from 06:30am and at The Corinthia, in the Fra Martino restaurant from 7am & at The George, in the breakfast room from 7am.

       

      Please make sure you carry your room card with you at all times.

    • What is the Cancellation policy for the hotel?

      You can cancel your room up until Friday 5th January 2017 without penalty.

       

      Please note that if your travel plans change and you do not cancel your accommodation the cost of your room will be charged after the event

    • What is the smoking policy in the hotel?

      The Hotel will be a non-smoking zone during the conference; however, guests wishing to smoke can go outside the front of reception.

    • Is there a shuttle service transfer from Malta International Airport to the hotel?

      No, neither hotel offers this service.

      Approximate taxi fare from Malta International Airport is around €25 with luggage.

    • Can I stay the weekend prior to the event?

      If you wish to stay the weekend prior to the event, please contact Georgia Perdicou at georgia@primarylive.co.uk

       

      Any additional nights of accommodation are only available at the Westin Dragonara (subject to availability) so please bear this in mind when completing the registration.

    • Can I share a room with a colleague to reduce the cost to our business for our travel costs?

      All accommodation available is based on single occupancy. If you wish to share with a colleague please contact Georgia Perdicou at georgia@primarylive.co.uk

       

    • Parking

      Complimentary parking is available at The Westin Dragonara and the Corinthia. If you are planning on driving, please let us know during the registration process.

       

    • Weather

      Weather in January/February is between 13 and 16 degrees Celsius.
